Biden makes shocking admission on last minute pardons amid Trump ‘voiding’ them for one crucial ‘mistake’

Former president Joe Biden has made a shocking claim after Donald Trump declared he’d voided his predecessor’s last pardons.

Just before Biden left office and retired his role as the 46th president of the United States, he issued a series of pardons that were intended to shield many public figures from politically charged attacks.

Some of those who were handed absolutions were members of the team investigating the January 6 attack on the Capitol, as well as controversial Covid response chief Dr Anthony Fauci.

Mark Milley, a former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was also pardoned alongside members of Biden’s own family – his brothers James and Frank Biden, his sister Valerie Biden Owens, and their spouses too.

At the time of the pardons, Biden claimed he was motivated to pardon his relatives after being worried they needed protecting from ‘unrelenting attacks and threats’.

Biden also commuted the life sentence of indigenous activist Leonard Peltier, 80, was jailed for killing two FBI agents nearly 50 years ago, as per a statement.

This allowed him to finish his sentence under home confinement rather than behind bars.

However, Trump was not happy about Biden’s pardons, with a spokesperson for Trump, describing them as the ‘greatest attack on America‘s justice system in history’, as per the BBC.

So, what happened?

As soon as he took office, Trump declared all pardons issued by the former president to be ‘void, vacant, and of no further force or effect’.

Taking to his social media platform, Truth Social, the Republican wrote: “The ‘Pardons’ that Sleepy Joe Biden gave to the Unselect Committee of Political Thugs, and many others, are hereby declared VOID, VACANT, AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT, because of the fact that they were done by Autopen.

“In other words, Joe Biden did not sign them but, more importantly, he did not know anything about them!”

He claimed the ‘necessary Pardoning Documents’ were neither ‘explained’ nor approved by Biden.

“Therefore, those on the Unselect Committee, who destroyed and deleted ALL evidence obtained during their two year Witch Hunt of me, and many other innocent people, should fully understand that they are subject to investigation at the highest level.

“The fact is, they were probably responsible for the Documents that were signed on their behalf without the knowledge or consent of the Worst President in the History of our Country, Crooked Joe Biden!”

But now a twist has been issued as Biden has come out to declare that he did indeed know about them, and he did have someone else sign them via his signature using autopen, but admitted he didn’t personally approve every single name on the list of pardons.

“I made every decision,” Biden said in an interview with The New York Times on July 10.

He explained that he had his staff use an autopen replicating his signature because ‘we’re talking about a whole lot of people’.

Trump had claimed the person who ‘controlled the autopen’ during Biden’s term in office was ‘the real President’.

Admitting that while he did not individually approve each name for the categorical pardons, Biden signed off on the standards he wanted to be used to determine who would qualify for reductions of sentences.

On December 12, Biden commuted around 1,500 sentences and pardoned 39 more, and just three days before he left office, he commuted the sentence of nearly 2,500 federal inmates that were convicted of crack cocaine offenses.

“I understand why Trump would think that,” the former president told the Times. “Because obviously, I guess, he doesn’t focus much. Anyway, so – yes, I made every decision.”

Because of the controversy sparked by the use of the autopen signings, the White House has also confirmed that Ed Martin, who is the head of an anti-weaponization working group, is probing whether Biden ‘was competent and whether others were taking advantage of him through use of autopen or other means.’

President Donald Trump has threatened to arrest and deport ‘communist’ New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, after his strong stance against ICE was revealed.

It has been a controversial few months for Trump’s administration after the US’ missile strike on nuclear bases in Iran and the violent anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles came to light.

Trump also introduced his ‘Big Beautiful Bill’, which caused a very public bust-up with former ‘First Buddy’ Elon Musk, with Trump even threatening to deport him.

There have also been several comments Trump made about deporting US citizens after opening an immigration centre dubbed ‘Alligator Alcatraz’. But now, it seems he’s after people a little closer to his circle.

Zohran Mamdani, the new Democratic mayoral nominee for New York, recently retaliated against a threat made by the president, calling it an ‘attack on democracy.’

He stated: “If you speak up, they will come for you. We will not accept this intimidation.”

Who is Zohran Mamdani?

Zohran Kwame Mamdani, who has lived in the US for most of his life, was born and raised in Kampala, Uganda until he was seven-years-old before moving to New York City with his family.

However, he didn’t become naturalized as a US citizen until 2018.

He went on to represent the 36th Assembly District and was previously passionate against fighting for those who in underrepresented areas.

This is what led him to run for office, fuelled by his passion for changing the housing crisis and pro-corporate policies.

As of right now, he was the first South Asian man to serve in the NYS Assembly, the first Ugandan and the third Muslim to ever be a member of the body.

What has Trump said about Mamdani?

Speaking recently to press, Trump said he’d heard claims that Mamdani was ‘here illegally’, with him threatening to arrest him if he blocked immigration officers conducting on-street arrests in New York.

Trump said: “A lot of people are saying he’s here illegally. We’re going to look at everything.”

When a journalist posed the question that Mamdani wouldn’t allow ICE to conduct their arrests, Trump replied: “Well then we’ll have to arrest him.”

He also called Mamdani a communist.

Could Mamdani be deported?

Well, there are certain circumstances which would allow the deportation of a US citizen by naturalisation.

The process, called denaturalisation, allows the government to revoke a person’s citizenship. It can occur when a person commit terrorism, war crimes, or lying on their citizenship application.

On June 11, the Justice Department stated it would ‘prioritise denaturalisation; by instituting civil proceedings for people ‘if they either ‘illegally procured’ naturalization or procured naturalization by “concealment of a material fact or by willful misrepresentation”.’

The memo added: “The Civil Division shall prioritize and maximally pursue denaturalization proceedings in all cases permitted by law and supported by the evidence.”

The Justice Department announced on June 13 that UK citizen Elliott Duke, who was convicted of collecting and distributing child sexual abuse material, had been denaturalised.

But as for whether Mamdani could be deported, Michael Kagan, professor of law at University of Nevada, Las Vegas. said: “Denaturalisation is limited to cases where the government can prove material fraud in their original applications.” It is rare and unlikely for either Musk or Mamdani. This appears to be irresponsible rhetoric designed to intimidate political opponents.”

President Donald Trump issued a scathing statement about his presidential predecessor, Joe Biden.

On May 18, Biden’s personal office issued a statement which revealed that the former President had been diagnosed with ‘aggressive’ prostate cancer.

The statement continued: “Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms.

“On Friday he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.”

Prostate cancers are scored by the Gleason score, which measures the severity on a scale of one to 10. This takes into consideration how the cancerous cells look compared to normal cells, which means that a score of nine suggests that the cancer is among the most ‘aggressive’ forms after metastasis (spreads).

It continued: ” While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive, which allows for effective management. The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”

Shortly after, the 82-year-old broke his silence when he shared a picture of himself, his wife, Jill, and their cat to X, writing: “Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places.

“Thank you for lifting us up with love and support.”

After the initial statement was released, Trump wrote on Truth Social to wish his predecessor a ‘successful recovery’.

He wrote: “Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”

However, since then, he’s faced some criticism for certain comments, and last week, he claimed he was ‘surprised’ that the ‘public wasn’t notified a long time ago’ after Biden’s cancer diagnosis was announced (via Sky News).

And while speaking with the press on May 30 during his Oval Office press conference regarding Elon Musk’s position in the White House, Trump was asked about Biden’s diagnosis, leading the POTUS to call him ‘somewhat vicious’.

“[Biden’s] been a sort of moderate person over his lifetime,” he said. “Not a smart person, but a somewhat vicious person, I will say.”

He added: “If you feel sorry for him, don’t feel so sorry, because he’s vicious. What he did with his political opponent and all of the people that he hurt – he hurt a lot of people, Biden, so I really don’t feel sorry for him.”

Before this, Trump also referred to the Biden administration as ‘monsters who want our country to go to hell’, People Magazine reports.

Following Trump and a few other Republican’s claims of Biden’s diagnosis allegedly being withheld, Chris Meagher, a spokesperson for Biden, denied it and told The New York Times that the former president’s last-known prostate-specific antigen test was in 2014, and he’d never received a cancer diagnosis before the announcement by his office was made.

People have pointed out the irony of Donald Trump falling up the stairs to Air Force One after he previously mocked Joe Biden for doing the same thing.

Trump, who will be celebrating his 79th birthday in just a few days time, climbed aboard his presidential jet yesterday (June 8) alongside Secretary of State Marco Rubio as the pair mad their way to Maryland’s Camp David.

On his way up the stairs Trump took a tumble but quickly caught himself after doing so. He didn’t look back afterwards and acted as if nothing happened.

Funnily enough Rubio followed suit and stumbled on the stairs as well.

While Trump tried to shrug the moment off, people online weren’t letting it slide and pointed out that the president called out Biden for doing the same thing.

Speaking in 2023, the now-president said: “Joe Biden can’t even walk up a flight of stairs on Air Force One and he can’t put two sentences together. […] We have somebody that doesn’t have a clue representing us.”

Fast forward two years and it’s now Trump that’s being mocked for the same thing.

“I’m surprised he hasn’t replaced those stairs with a portable escalator of some kind,” one person quipped on Twitter, as another penned: “When do they get the wheelchair for him? Someone ask Jake Tapper to find out.”

“Time to get Old Man Trump fitted for a wheelchair,” added a third.

Taking to Reddit, a different person penned: “He must ‘step’ down immediately…That was the bar for stepping down for Biden, right?”

Others came to Trump’s defense though, and insisted that the minor stumble wasn’t a big deal.

“I stumbled walking the stairs to a concert last night. Sh*t happens,” someone said.

“That’s a steep climb for anyone,” argued somebody else. “He recovered nicely. I give him an 8.5 for the recovery.”

Echoing similar sentiments, a different Twitter user said that Trump took the fall ‘like a champ’.

Arguably, the president has bigger fish to fry than a minor stumble amid the riots in Los Angeles and his very public fallout with Elon Musk.

Trump’s feud has been playing out on social media for all of the world to see as the pair continue to take swipes at one another.

In one of the latest developments, Musk made a U-turn on his accusations about Trump being in the Jeffrey Epstein files and deleted his bombshell tweet.

President Trump wants people in America illegally to ‘self-deport’

Donald Trump has offered an usual incentive to immigrants in America.

It’s not new information that Trump is clamping down on immigration in the US, and just last month, he announced his plans to revoke the legal status of more than 500,000 immigrants.

Humanitarian parole was brought in by the Biden administration and allowed migrants and their immediate family members to fly into the US if they had American sponsors and remain for two years, under a temporary immigration status known as parole.

The scheme was aimed at Cuban, Haitian, Nicaraguan, and Venezuelan citizens wanting to relocate to the States. Their temporary legal status was set to be revoked on April 24, but a judge has since blocked this and ordered that the termination of people’s parole should be interviewed on a case-by-case basis.

In the wake of the judge’s recent ruling, Trump is now attempting to have people ‘self-deport’ themselves and is offering a cash incentive and plane tickets to anyone willing to do so.

The president, who campaigned on a pledge to carry out mass deportations, said in a taped interview with Fox Noticias that aired on Tuesday that his administration is focused on getting ‘murderers’ out of the country.

For others in the US illegally, he said he is going to implement ‘a self-deportation programme’. Trump offered few details about the plan, including timing, but said the US would provide immigrants with air fare and a stipend.

“We’re going to give them a stipend. We’re going to give them some money and a plane ticket, and then we’re going to work with them — if they’re good — if we want them back in, we’re going to work with them to get them back in as quickly as we can,” he said.

Fox Noticias interviewer Rachel Campos-Duffy, who is married to transportation secretary Sean Duffy, played Trump a clip of a Mexican man who, she said, arrived in the US illegally more than 20 years ago and has children who are American citizens.

It is not clear if the man now has legal permission to be in the country, but Campos-Duffy said the man claimed that even though he cannot vote, he would have supported Trump.

She played a clip of the man saying he agrees that if someone commits a crime, they should be returned to their countries — including himself.

“I look at this man. I say, this is a guy that we want to keep,” Trump replied. “I’ll probably take heat for saying it.”
