By sharing photos of their short time with their daughter, Grace Morgan Hafþórsdóttir, Kelsey and Hafþór opened up about their devastating loss in a heartfelt Instagram post.
“It is with deep sadness that we announce the birth of our daughter, Grace Morgan Hafþórsdóttir, born Nov 8th at 21 1/2 weeks gestation. After noticing a significant decrease in movement, we learned that her heart had stopped beating,” they expressed.
“Words cannot express the depth of our sorrow from this loss, nor the joy we feel in having time with our daughter. She is truly stunning, with her blonde lashes and brows, and a sweet little smile for both mom and dad. The love we have for her is simply overwhelming,” the post went on.
“The sorrow we carry will remain with us forever, but so will our love. All our dreams and aspirations for her have been taken from us, yet I believe I will be reunited with her one day. Her spirit continues to shine through us and her siblings. We kindly ask for your understanding and respect for our privacy during this time as we mourn this unbearable loss. Thank you all for your kind words and support.”
