Coca-Cola responds after Donald Trump makes shocking claim he’s changing the recipe

Americans could soon be tasting a new version of Coke as President Donald Trump intervenes

President Donald Trump has claimed Coca-Cola is preparing to change its recipe in the US following a conversation with himself.

Americans have been enjoying a cold can of Coke since it was first sold in Atlanta, Georgia, on May 8, 1986. It was the creation of Dr John Pemberton, who created the syrup and presented it to Jacob’s Pharmacy all those year ago, where it was mixed with carbonated water.

The recipe has changed a few times since then, the most notable would be the removal of cocaine from the drink in 1903. Yes, it’s crazy to think that people actually used to drink a glass of something containing a schedule II drug.

Now, the 79-year-old POTUS has attempted to coerce the soft drink giant into changing it up – with the Republican being a keen fan of a Diet Coke.

Taking to Truth Social, he posted: “I have been speaking to Coca-Cola about using REAL Cane Sugar in Coke in the United States, and they have agreed to do so.

“I’d like to thank all of those in authority at Coca-Cola. This will be a very good move by them – You’ll see. It’s just better!”

Before we get into the Coke’s response, it’s worth noting that Coca-Cola currently uses high-fructose corn syrup as a substitute for cane sugar in the US, which was supported by farming subsidies in the nation – with sugar cane having previously been imported from South America.

Now, Trump is pushing for sugar cane grown in the US to be used in the manufacturing process of America’s beloved soda.

Responding to the president, Coca-Cola Company issued the following statement to People: “We appreciate President Trump’s enthusiasm for our iconic Coca-Cola brand. More details on new innovative offerings within our Coca-Cola product range will be shared soon.”

Just three months ago, in April, the firm’s CEO James Quincey stressed to investors that Coca-Cola will ‘continue to make progress on sugar reduction in our beverages’.

While noting that his company has ‘done this by changing recipes as well as by using our global marketing resources and distribution network to boost awareness of and interest in our ever-expanding portfolio’.

So, the sugary drink we all enjoy might be changing soon – and the recipe that it would don wouldn’t actually be unfamiliar to Coca-Cola – that’s because Australia and Mexico, among other countries, use sugar cane in the manufacturing process.

Donald Trump makes shocking claim about egg prices and gets slammed after people question if he’s right

Donald Trump’s comments about egg prices caused quite an uproar

Donald Trump’s recent comments about egg prices in the US has left some people championing him and others utterly furious in a rather divisive moment.

When it comes to the president’s first few weeks in office, most people don’t really imagine that eggs would be at the forefront of discussion, and yet, here we are.

While eggs aren’t the only goods people are concerned about, amidst the ongoing trade war with Canada, Mexico and China, the price of eggs has come to represent the cost of living and grocery costs overall to many people.

So, if the cost of eggs goes down, everyone is happy, but if they go up, well.

Ahead of becoming president, Donald Trump insisted he would be taking steps to ensure that grocery prices come down and repeatedly took shots at Joe Biden and blamed him for any increase in food prices.

In a recent press conference with Irish Taoiseach Micheal Martin (March 12), Trump took the opportunity to brag and made a claim that certainly shocked people on social media.

He said: “I don’t know if you saw. Little things such as the cost of eggs – little to you, but big to the people out there. Down almost 30 per cent, in the last, eh, few days.”

However, this remark wasn’t exactly met with cheers with some insisting the president was simply lying.

On Twitter one person commented: “Ah yes, eggs cheaper than ever—if you buy them in an alternate universe where facts don’t matter and reality’s on sale.”

Another added: “Why do we even film him talking? He just lies about everything. It’s too ridiculous and I can’t believe he just keeps getting away with it.”

With a third writing: “These egg prices even more high af. Where are all them Trump folks that was so mad & complaining about it??? Haven’t heard food prices complaints from them anymore.”

However, at the time, figures released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture supported Trump’s claim.

The department stated on average a dozen eggs is now significantly cheaper than in recent days. The economic indicator website Trading Economics shows that a dozen eggs were $5.51 on March 11, more than $2 cheaper than ‘an all-time high of 8.17 in March of 2025’.

However, for those that simply haven’t seen cheaper prices at their stores, there also may be a simple explanation for that as well.

Wholesale egg prices, which are what retailers pay to procure eggs, have fallen to a national average of just over $4 for a dozen large white eggs, down from a peak of more than $8 at the end of February. However, it may take a while for consumers to see this.

Speaking to the New York Times, associate professor of economics at the University of Central Arkansas Jeremy Horpedahl said as eggs typically have a four week shelf life, for some people, it may be the end of March before retail prices start to drop.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

People are all saying the same thing after Trump makes bizarre comments on Epstein files

Trump is now saying Epstein’s client list was ‘made up’ by Joe Biden and Barack Obama

Liv Bridge

Donald Trump has said ‘only bad people’ are interested in the rumored Epstein files – and people are suspicious of his comments.

Five months on from suggesting the Epstein files were sitting on her desk, Attorney General Pam Bondi has now said a client list never existed.

Bondi claimed she was referring at the time to the case file in general, but this has done little to quieten anger from Trump‘s supporters, with House Speaker Mike Johnson breaking ranks yesterday (July 15) to call for the full files to be released.

Ever since Epstein’s death in 2019 and Maxwell’s conviction in 2021, conspiracy theories have spiralled with the suggestion the late financier and pedophile had some form of ‘client list’ containing the names of the rich, famous and powerful.

The Department of Justice denied that such a list exists earlier this month before adding they would not release any additional files related to the case.

Defending the decision, the POTUS wrote on Truth Social: “For years, it’s Epstein, over and over again. Why are we giving publicity to Files written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Losers and Criminals of the Biden administration.”

Trump also told reporters that Bondi has ‘handled it very well’ on Tuesday (July 15) and it would be up to her what, if any, further details should be released.

However, the president has got everyone talking about one particular part in the interview, when a reporter asked him if Bondi had told him if his name had appeared in the files.

Trump quickly waived away the suggestion, saying: “No, no, she’s given us just a very quick briefing and in terms of the credibility of the different things that they’ve seen and I would say that, you know these files were made up by Comey, they were made up by Obama, they were made up by Biden – we went through years of that with the Russia hoax and all the things that we had to go through, we’ve gone through years of it.”

After stuttering in parts, Trump composed himself before adding: “But she’s [Bondi] handled it very well, and it’s going to be up to her whatever she thinks is credible, she should release.”

Meanwhile, in other clips the president said he couldn’t ‘understand’ why people are so interested in the Epstein files.

“He’s [been] dead for a long time, he was never a big factor in terms of life.”

“The credible information has been given,” he continued. “Don’t forget we went through years of the Mueller witch hunt and all of the different things, the Steele Dossier which was all fake, all that information was fake.

“I don’t know why the Jeffrey Epstein case would be of interest to anybody. It’s pretty boring stuff.”

The POTUS doubled down by saying ‘only pretty bad people including fake news’ want to keep the story alive.

“But credible information, let them give it. Anything that’s credible, I would say let them have it,” he added.

Over on Reddit, dozens took issue with Trump’s comments.

One said: “If it’s boring, release the files in whole. Shouldn’t matter either way right? Bore us to tears.

“Also note that he’s already trying to taint the credibility of the files by saying it’s an Obama/Biden hack job.”

A second said: “If there is no reason as for why MAGAts are so interested in it (as he claimed), then there’s no reason as to why he won’t release it.”

A third took a difference stance, writing: “We all know there aren’t any files right? It’s hilarious that Trump has bungled this so badly that he now looks like he is covering up evidence against him, but the actual ‘Epstein files’ are only as real as ‘Hunter Biden’s laptop.’”

Obama seemingly makes subtle dig at Donald Trump in 4th July message

The comments came after Trump signed off his ‘big beautiful bill’ on Friday

People are convinced former president Barack Obama’s 4th July message was meant as a scathing attack on Donald Trump.

The comments came after Trump signed off his ‘big, beautiful bill’ on Friday which was passed in Congress on Thursday (July 3) after representatives approved it with a 218-214 vote.

The almost 1,000-page budget revamp is set to add some $3.4 trillion to the country’s national debt (which currently stands at $36.2 trillion) over the next decade.

Among other things, it’s set to deliver tax breaks Trump promised when he was running for president in 2024, while also cutting health and food safety programmes.

You can read about everything that’s in the bill here.

Ahead of the vote, Obama urged Americans to call their representatives and ask them to vote against the mega bill.

“More than 16 million Americans are at risk of losing their health care because Republicans in Congress are rushing to pass a bill that would cut federal funding for Medicaid and weaken the Affordable Care Act,” he said last week.

“If the House passes this bill, it will increase costs and hurt working class families for generations to come.

“Call your representative today and tell them to vote no on this bill.”

Writing on social media after the bill was approved – and on July 4 – Obama said: “Independence Day is a reminder that America is not the project of any one person.

“The single most powerful word in our democracy is the word ‘We.’ ‘We The People.’ ‘We Shall Overcome.’ ‘Yes We Can.’ America is owned by no one. It belongs to all citizens.

“And at this moment in history—when core democratic principles seem to be continuously under attack, when too many people around the world have become cynical and disengaged—now is precisely the time to ask ourselves tough questions about how we can build our democracies and make them work in meaningful and practical ways for ordinary people.”

People were convinced that the message subtly referenced Trump, while others thanked Obama for the words of encouragement.

“I’m trying my best to enjoy this day, but I can’t help to think about the millions and millions of people who will lose their helpful resources since this Bill had been passed. I like that line…’America is owned by no one.’ ‘It belongs to all citizens.’ Amen, sir,” one wrote.

While another added: “Thank you. Keep them coming your words of encouragement bc I’ve never felt such despair as I do now.”

Biden makes shocking admission on last minute pardons amid Trump ‘voiding’ them for one crucial ‘mistake’

US president Donald Trump accused Joe Biden of using autopen and not knowing about his own presidential pardons

Britt Jones

Former president Joe Biden has made a shocking claim after Donald Trump declared he’d voided his predecessor’s last pardons.

Just before Biden left office and retired his role as the 46th president of the United States, he issued a series of pardons that were intended to shield many public figures from politically charged attacks.

Some of those who were handed absolutions were members of the team investigating the January 6 attack on the Capitol, as well as controversial Covid response chief Dr Anthony Fauci.

Mark Milley, a former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was also pardoned alongside members of Biden’s own family – his brothers James and Frank Biden, his sister Valerie Biden Owens, and their spouses too.

At the time of the pardons, Biden claimed he was motivated to pardon his relatives after being worried they needed protecting from ‘unrelenting attacks and threats’.

Biden also commuted the life sentence of indigenous activist Leonard Peltier, 80, was jailed for killing two FBI agents nearly 50 years ago, as per a statement.

This allowed him to finish his sentence under home confinement rather than behind bars.

However, Trump was not happy about Biden’s pardons, with a spokesperson for Trump, describing them as the ‘greatest attack on America‘s justice system in history’, as per the BBC.

So, what happened?

As soon as he took office, Trump declared all pardons issued by the former president to be ‘void, vacant, and of no further force or effect’.

Taking to his social media platform, Truth Social, the Republican wrote: “The ‘Pardons’ that Sleepy Joe Biden gave to the Unselect Committee of Political Thugs, and many others, are hereby declared VOID, VACANT, AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT, because of the fact that they were done by Autopen.

“In other words, Joe Biden did not sign them but, more importantly, he did not know anything about them!”

He claimed the ‘necessary Pardoning Documents’ were neither ‘explained’ nor approved by Biden.

“Therefore, those on the Unselect Committee, who destroyed and deleted ALL evidence obtained during their two year Witch Hunt of me, and many other innocent people, should fully understand that they are subject to investigation at the highest level.

“The fact is, they were probably responsible for the Documents that were signed on their behalf without the knowledge or consent of the Worst President in the History of our Country, Crooked Joe Biden!”

But now a twist has been issued as Biden has come out to declare that he did indeed know about them, and he did have someone else sign them via his signature using autopen, but admitted he didn’t personally approve every single name on the list of pardons.

“I made every decision,” Biden said in an interview with The New York Times on July 10.

He explained that he had his staff use an autopen replicating his signature because ‘we’re talking about a whole lot of people’.

Trump had claimed the person who ‘controlled the autopen’ during Biden’s term in office was ‘the real President’.

Admitting that while he did not individually approve each name for the categorical pardons, Biden signed off on the standards he wanted to be used to determine who would qualify for reductions of sentences.

On December 12, Biden commuted around 1,500 sentences and pardoned 39 more, and just three days before he left office, he commuted the sentence of nearly 2,500 federal inmates that were convicted of crack cocaine offenses.

“I understand why Trump would think that,” the former president told the Times. “Because obviously, I guess, he doesn’t focus much. Anyway, so – yes, I made every decision.”

Because of the controversy sparked by the use of the autopen signings, the White House has also confirmed that Ed Martin, who is the head of an anti-weaponization working group, is probing whether Biden ‘was competent and whether others were taking advantage of him through use of autopen or other means.’
